Common Keyboard Navigation Keystrokes

1. Basic Navigation

• Tab: Move to the next focusable element (links, buttons, form fields).
• Shift + Tab: Move to the previous focusable element.
• Enter: Activate the selected element (e.g., click a link or submit a form).
• Spacebar: Activate buttons, check/uncheck checkboxes, or scroll down in scrollable areas.

2. Navigating Forms

• Arrow Keys: Move through options in a dropdown, select options in radio groups, and navigate within multi-line text fields.
• Spacebar: Select or deselect checkboxes.
• Enter: Submit a form when a submit button has focus.

3. Dialogs and Modals

• Esc: Close the modal or dialog.

5. Page and Browser Shortcuts

• Alt + Left Arrow (or Backspace): Go back to the previous page.
• Alt + Right Arrow: Go forward to the next page.
